SHORT FILM: EXPLORING NOT KNOWING AS A WAY OF BEING

Visions of an Island is a mystifying, fragmented film by Sky Hopinka, a member of the Ho-Chunk Nation and a descendant of the Pechanga Band of Luiseño Indians.

According to Psyche, a digital magazine, “the film’s very substance is to frustrate any facile path through it.” To Hopinka, his audience is always his tribe or his family or a “group of people who may have access to information that others do not.”
